Sylvia Fam, DMD

Dr. Fam was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and grew up in the United Arab Emirates. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences. Dr. Fam continued at Rutgers and received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine.

Following dental school, Dr. Fam completed a general practice residency at Morristown Medical Center in New Jersey, where she trained in a wide variety of dental procedures. Dr. Fam's love for pediatric dentistry drove her to pursue specialty training at St. Barnabas Hospital Health System in the Bronx, where she currently continues to teach and train residents as a faculty attending.

Dr. Fam is an avid Disney fan and believes in making the dental visit as magical of an experience as she could for her patients. With an emphasis on prevention, Dr. Fam hopes to instill healthy habits in her patients at a young age.

In her spare time, Dr. Fam enjoys traveling with her husband, listening to podcasts, reading, trying new (pizza) restaurants and spending time with family and friends.
